EETT Competitive Grants:
- The request for propsoals (RFP) for the third round of Enhancing Education through Technology (EETT) Competitive Grant awards (2009-2012) is posted on the State Education Department website. The due date is May 8, 2009.
- 28 Consortia from throughout NYS won the 2nd round of EETT competitive grant awards. The theme-based education technology projects are funded for two years to promote technology integration into curriculum and instruction from January, 2008 to December, 2009.
Title II D Allocation Funds:
- 2008-09 NCLB/Title II Part D Allocation Funds for New York State school districts and charter schools are available online. The allocations are determined by the State Education Department based on requirements set forth in the NCLB legislation.
- Nonpublic Schools: Title II, Part A; Title II, Part D; and Title IV, Part A. The Title II Part D Allocation Funds for school districts also include funds for eligible nonpublic school students, teachers and other educational staff. These figures are for advisory purposes only, and they are non-binding.
- The Consolidated Applicants for Title II Part D 2008-09 funds must complete an online Title IID Progress Report and supporting paper documents (FS-10 and budget narrative)
Internet Security and Safe Use:
- The recent passage of the New York State Education Law on Internet Safety and Appropriate Use (Ed Law Section 814 | PDF
(8KB)) requires a better education of students for safe and appropriate use of Internet technology and resources. - Resources on Internet Security and Safe Usage in Schools are now available for teachers, students and parents.
